I read 22 pages of a fiction book called Amulet.
The book is about when this girl called Emily and her mother was taken from a monster.
I like Amulet because it is so interesting and has magic in the book.
Today I did some balancing using sport equipment.
I first used hockey equipment. I needed to balance on one leg and hit the ball without falling or wiggling. Doing hockey was a little bit hard because I keep hoping to the side because the ball keep rolling away.
Then I used frisbees and balanced on one leg and not fall over and try to catch the frisbee. Using a frisbee was kind of hard because I keep trying to move and keep wiggling.
After I used basketballs and had to balance on one leg and switch legs and see if I can balance. Using a basetball was hard because I keep wiggling because I was using my weak leg.
After that I used a net ball we had to balance on one leg and pass it to my partner. Using a netball ball was easy because the ball did not go the wrong way.
The last equipment I used was the rugby ball I had to pass it in a circle to I partners. The rugby ball was easy because the ball went straight not crocked.
I like learning how to balance because it helps me not wiggle too much and not fall over. The hardest piece of equipment that I used was the basketball because I keep hoping because I was using my weak leg.
An idiom is a phrase that has a meaning that means something diffrent.
For example: Im going on the stage break a leg (good luck) ok thanks.
This is how to read a calendar.
Step 1. Read the day.
Step 2. Read
the number of the date.
Step 3. Read the month.
Step 4. Read the year.
I completed a task called times differences.
First I figured out the hour between the two times which was 4 hours.
Next I had to figure out the minutes between the two times which was 35 minutes.
Lastly I combined the two numbers and I get 4 hours and 35 minutes.
I think I need to practise some more because I was struggling on the last one.
I learnt about a introduction.
A explanation tells how thing work.
I watched a video about how popcorn pops.
I figured out what was a Introduction. A introduction tells what the person that is reading about.
I like an introduction and learnt about it. I also want to learn about a mechanism because I want to learnt about a explanation.
I learned how to use preprositions.
The first preposition is tenei. Tenei mean here.
The second preprosition is tena. Tena means there.
The last preprosition is tera. Tera means over there.
I like doing this task because I know more about Maori preprositions.
Today I learned what balancing is.
First I balanced on a bench, ledge and the pillar. Then I balanced on the playground.
Balancing is when I put one leg on the ground and the other leg in the air and try not to fall or wiggle.
I liked balancing because when I balance I am not wiggling and don't fall over.
I learned that pridecting means when you gues what is about to happen.
I mades predictions about the information in the book Winter sports.
Prediction is very good to know because I learned a lot of things and it helps my brain.
