Basic Facts Boxes

I completed a Basic Facts Boxes challenge for Subtraction.

My score was 100/100 and my time was 6 minutes and 2 sconds.

Next time I do this task I will do Addition and go faster.

I read a fiction book called Death and Daisies.

I read 58 pages.

It is about a girl called Amanda and she has a magic garden. It has been passed on to many familly members.

I enjoyed reading this book because it is very interesting.

Dancing Mat Typing

I completed a can-do that is called Dancing Mat Typing it helps people learn how to type fast without looking at the keyboard

First I went on Dancing Mat Typing level 1 and put on a 15 minute timer.

Then I placed my fingers on the right keypads witch were f, d, s, a, j, k, l, ; and using my index/pointer finger to press g and h.

To finish up I put in my finished results on a google slide. After that I wrote in what I need to practise on.

I need to practise pressing on the right buttons like k, l, ;, e, r, i.

I read a book a fiction book it is called Bad Guys.

It is about a centipede trying to catch a powerful person that can let him into o there planet and destroy it.

I read 162 pages.

I enjoyed reading this book because it is very interesting.

Multiplication

We learnt how to use skip counting and repeated addition to figure out multiplication questions.

Skip counting is counting up/down using the same number. For example Benny has six two dollar coins in his bank. How much money does Benny have? 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12. Benny has $12 in her bank.

Repeated adittion is repeating a certain number to get an answer for a problem. For example Sandy has fifteen red balloons. Malanie has three times more then Sandy. How many red balloons does Melanie have now? 3x15= 15+15+15. Melanie has 45 red balloons.

I learned a lot about multiplication and different ways on how to solve math equations.

Opinions

I shared my opinions on these Optical illusion images.

First we looked at this picture of a rabbit but it looked so like a duck. The first animal I saw was the duck but other people saw a rabbit because it is looking to the right with the ears back.
After that I shared my idea of what animal it was and why.

Next I looked at a picture of an elephant and tried to figure out how many legs there were and my guess was five.

I enjoyed doing this because when there is a tricky picture I can kind of figure it out.

 In this image the first thing I saw was 2 fish.

 

Compound sentences

To write a compound sentence you need 2 actors, 2 actions, FANBOYS and a comma.

The first thing to write is 1 actor 1 action.

The second thing to write is a comma and a FANBOY.

The last step is to write another actor with another action.

A compound sentence is two cause and effect sentences connected together with a FANBOY and a comma.

For Example: The men are running on water, and they are jumping over hurdles.
