Dancing Mat Typing

I completed a can-do that is called Dancing Mat Typing it helps people learn how to type fast without looking at the keyboard.

First I went on Dancing level 1 and put a 20 minute timer on.

Then I placed my fingers on the home row witch were f, d, s, a, j, k, l, ; and using my index/pointer finger to press h and g.

To finish up I put my finished results on a google slide. After that I wrote in what I need to improve on.

Today I finished a fraction fairy tale of my own.

First I thought of a fairy tale and I picked Jack and the Bean stalk.

Mobile puzzle

Today I created a mobile puzzle. A mobile puzzle is when you have diffrent shapes and you need to figure out how much their worth to create the number at the top

First I thought about what number am I going to put at the top and I choosed 1000.

Next I thought about how to split 1000 with 2 squares and 1 traingle. The trangle is worth 600 and the 2 aquares are worth 200.

So 200 + 200 = 400 then 600 + 400 = 1000 abd thats how I figured it out.

I enjoyed doing this task because it helps me split numbers into 3 parts.

Basic Facts Boxes

Today I completed a cando called basic facts boxes.

I did multiplication and I got 90/90 my time was 9 minute and 3 seconds.

I like doing this task because it helps me learn division subtraction and different Math problems.

Work books for home work

Today I completed Unit 1 for my workbook.

The first 2 I did I had to answer queastions about wich towel belongs to who and the 2 activity I had to circle the write spelling for some sentences.

I created a google drawing showing my activitys and the queastions.

I enjoyed doing this task becasue I learnt what the correct spelling is for some words and I learnt how to describe things.

Today I read a fiction book called The baby sitters club/ The ghost at Dawn's house. ANN Martin wrote this book.

In the start it is about a club and the people in it is called Kristy, Claudia, Marry and Stacey. They have been separated from each other because of there plannings with their family.

In the middle Claudia’s family went on a trip to a resort in New Hampshire. Marry and Stacey had gotten jobs for thee mother helpers.

In the end Since the baby sitters club had finished with there trips they had meetings in Claudia’s house who is the vise president of the baby sitters club.

I like doing ths task because it helps me with my reading and the books are very intresting.

HPE/Just Dance

Today for HPE I did a Just Dance called Old Town Road.

Doing this dance was fun, funny, it made me tired and it made me feel like I was a professional dancer.

SSR Selfie

Today I read a fiction book called One Piece. Eiichiro Oda wrote One Piece.

In the beginning here is a guy call monkey de Luffy he ate one of the most powerful fruit called the devil fruit. If someone eats its they will have a power but the sea will hate you and the sea will take your ability to swim.

In the middle Luffy ate the devil fruit by accident and now he is a rubber man and he is looking for a pirate crew and the people in his crew are Zoro (a sword man), Nami (steals treasure), Usafe (uses a sling shot to knock out people with stones) and Luffy is their caption.

At the end they meat another pirate that but lost his crew while looking for a treasure called the One Piece. The One piece was The king of the pirates he hid the treasure somewhere on a island. He told everyboday that they could keep al his treasure if they find it then he got executed and now all the pirates has been looking for his treasure.

Today I created a draft of my fractured fairy tales.

First I chose what fairytales I was going to mix up for my story.

Lastly I picked what parts I was going to use for my own story using the 2 storys I picked.

Te Reo/what is that

Toay I complete a Maori task.

First I answerd queastions like He aha tenei. You should answer this queastion by saying He pene tenei.

Second I answerd queastions like He aha tena you should reply saying He pero tena.

Lastly I answer queastions like He aha te ra you should reply saying He mahina tera.

I enjoyed doing this task because I learnt how to reply to others in maori when they ask a queastion.

Maori Queastions

I did a activity about Maori Quastions.

The queastions were about positions and locations.

We had to write answers and sentences like this Kei Position  I Te  Location.

We used these words for position mua, matau, roto, runga and much more.

Today I read 62 pages of Amulet in 20 minutes.

It is about when a boy named Max hanged out with an elve friend and the dad was very disappointed and in the morning when Max went to see his friend elve she said his father took her parents.

Then Max went to go escape his friends parents out of jail he did but the ship got exploded and he tryed to get revenge on his dad.

When he tryed to get revenge on his dad he got sent to prison then escaped prison and unfroze the mountain spider giant and now his magical necklace controls him and he has a recording of him going for 51 years now.

I like dong this activity because the books I read are intresting and I like reading book that have magic in them like Amulet.

Fairy Tale Maker

Today I used jack and the beanstalk but changed some bits of my own.

First I looked for a story to use for this task and I used Jack and the Beanstalk.

Lastly I changed some characters, the beanstalk, and other settings.

I liked doing this task because I got to kinda be creative with the story jack and the beanstalk.

Baisc Fact Boxes

Today I completed a speed demon Challenge subtraction up to 20.

I got 100/100 and my time was 1 minute and 7 seconds.

Next time I do this I am going to do division and try get 2 minutes or 3.

HPE/Just dance

Today I did the Tuesday workout. The workout I had to do wass a just dance video.

Doing the just dance made me very tired, it made me feel like I was a dancer. To do the just dance all you need to do is find a video copy what dances there doing.

I liked doing this activity because it was fun, funny, and I learnt how to dance at the same time.

Today I read a fiction ook called Captain Marvel. I read 24 Pages.

In the begining of Caption Marvel Superwoman and her super heroes tried to stop this giant bomb so they flied up to the sky and superwoman catched the bomb and thrown it back up to the sky and then it exploded.

In the middle iron man went to superwoman and the knocked out these to bad people because they were trying to kill someone.

At the end Superwoman fyed up to space to fight bad guys who were trying to take over the world. The second reason Superwomen went up to space was because she wanted to see what type of machines the bad gys use.

I like doing this task because it helps me with my reading and this book is very intresting.

Story Arch

I completed a story arch aout a book called the little mermaid.

First I wrote the orientation which talks about the story line.

Next I wrote down the inciting incident which is the main event that happens with the charcters in the story.

Then I wrote down the rising action or problems which are problems that happen in the story.

After wards I wrote down the climax. The climax is the main part of the story.

Next I wrote down the success or failure. The success or failure is if something went the good way or the bad way.

Lastly I wrote the resolution. The resolution is fixing what has happened so things are normal.

Maori Queastions

I completed a task and it is called Te Reo.

First I picked a Maori word to put in a sentence saying it in Maori and English.

Second I showed a photo of an object behind, infront, under, left, right so people know what there looking for in the picture.

Lastly I trued to say the objects in Maori so I can learn.

I enjoyed doing this task because it helps me speak Maori.

Fractions

Todsay I completed a task called fractions but using pizza slices and squares.

First I wrote down the fraction and in words.

Second I coloured in the pieces of the pizza that I was going to eat.

Today I read a fiction book called Spider Gwen. The illustrators were Jason latour and Robbi Rodriguez.

In the beginning Spider women wich is Stacey she finds out that her dad turned himself in and went to jail.

In the middle Stacey and her friends are purforming to get money to bay rent and a robber trys to steals it but stacey and her friends met a officer who catched the robber and the officer was looking for stacey to ask questions about her dad.

In the end Murdock the powerful ad richest man in the city is try to make stacey turn into a ninja and make stacy work for him so they can team up but stacey doesent want to be bad.

I enjoyed doing this task because it helps me read and this book is getting so entresting.

Today I shared one of my fairy tales to my class.

Whe had to read 3 fairy tales and write down the charactors, the settings, the proplem and the silaution to fix the proplem.

The 3 fairy tales I did were the beauty and the beast, little mermaid and the princess and the frog.

I enjoyed doing this task because I got to listen to fairy tales and practise my writting at the same time.

Today I read a fairy tail called Beauty and the Beast.

In the begining The father of 3 daughters went out to do shopping for his 3 daughter and he forgot to get a rose but it was night already so he stayed at a castle.

In the Middle in the morning he found a rose to take to Beauty but a giant beast stormed behind him and told him he was going to kill him unless he brings the beast a woman that is beautiful and the woman has to stay forever.

In the end Beuty could only see her father for a week and return to the castle where the beast kept her. Beautys sisters made Beauty stay for an extra day and when Beauty went to the beast he was laying on the floor untill Beauty said the she loves him he was uncursed from the evil witches spell.

I like doing this ativity because this fairytale was very intresting and I loved reading Beauty and the Beast.

Tuesday Workout/Fortnite dances

Today I did my Tuesday workout. The workout I had to do were fortnite dances called Groove jam, Electro Shuffle, Fresh, Floss, The robot, Disco Fever, Flapper, Tidy and Squat Kicks.

Doing the Groove jam made me laugh, the electro shuffle gave me a sticth, the Fresh made me happy, the floss made me relax, the robot made me feel like one, the disco fever was so fun doing it, the flapper was so funny for me, the tidy made me feel cool and the squat kicks was so hard to do I couldn't feel my legs.

I liked doing this activity because I learnt how to dance and I can show everybody my dance moves. My favourite dance move was Disco Fever.

 Today I read a nonfiction book called TE TIRITI O WAITANGI.

In the begining the maoris had Aoteroa to themselve until 1769 when Captain Cook arrived then Pakeha came to hunt seals and whales then lots of people came to Aoteroa to hunt, claim, and cut down trees. 

In the middle the maoris were struglling to feed there families and earn money so many maoris across the world protested about the way the goverment had treated them and still is treatig them.

In the end the moaris had clocths, food, money, they could feed there families and they had there land back.

I like doing this task because I learn about what has happened hundreds of years ago and some of the books I read were very intresting like this book.

I completed a basic facts boxes challange.

I got 72/100 and my time was 14 minutes and 21 seconds.

Next time I do basic facts boxes I am going to try do something a little easier then multiplication.

Give

Today I completed a Mental Health Care Challenge. The Challenge was to do something good without someone asking you to do it.

First I looked around my house to see what needed to be done and I saw a bunch of clocths and towles that needed to be folded.

Then I folded them and puthe right clocths together and put them away in my siblings and parents cuboarb or draws.

I enjoyed doing this task because it made my parents and siblings happy that they had fresh, nice and clean clothes.

How To Work A Fan

I created a poster on how to work an object in my house. I chose to do a fan.

First I searched my house to see if I had a fan and I found a fan.

Lastly I created a poster and wrote 4 steps on how to work a fan.

1. First plug in and on the switch

2. Second Turn this left all the way

3. Lastly Turn tohere to be hot and strong, Turn it to here to be warm and less strong,
Turn here to be cold.

I enjoyed doing this task because I teached other people how to use a fan and it felt like I was on a scavenger hunt.

Take Notice

I completed a Mental Health Care challenge and the challenge was to take notice.

First I thought about what im gratful for.

The last thing I did was listed all the things that I am grateful for on a google doc.

 

Be Active

 I completed a Mental Health Care challenge the challenge was to be active. The active thing I did was a Mincraft kids yoga session for 19 minutes.

First we used our secret yoga code greeting. The secret code was Namaste.

Next we did multiple yoga poses but was related to Mincraft.

Lastly we lied down on our backs and rested and after that we used out secret yoga greeting witch is Namaste.

I enjoyed doing this because I got up and stretched my body and it felt like I was playing Mincraft in real life.

Mental Health Challenge 1

I completed a mental health challenge. I had to ask my parents what was thier favourite songs they use to listen to when they were my age or a teenager.

First I asked my parent what was there favourite song when they were my age or a teenager and who sang it.

After I ask my parents I wrote them down on a google doc. My mum picked 3 of her favourite songs and my dad picked 2 of his favourite songs.

Then I listed 5 of my favourite songs and put the links to my parents song and my songs.

Lastly I listed 3 diffrent things that are diffrent about my music and my parents music.

I enjoyed doing this task becaue I got to know about my parents favourite songs when they were young.

Today I read a fiction book called The Golden Statue Plot by Geronimo Stilton.

I read 18 pages. If you dont know what its about it is about day he weared his sunglasses to work because he was scared he was going to be mocked. He kept wearing them and turning on all the lights even if it was in the middle of the day. The third day Geronimo Stilton had created a trend but the electricity turned off so the next day he he looked at his elf in the water and took off his sunglasses and went to work.

I like doing this activity because it helps me with my reading and some of the books I read are very intresting.

Art

 I created a peace of art. It was the crown of tonga by tracing it.

First I found an image of the crown.

Then I traced the gold bits of the crown.

Lastly I changed all the coulors to gold black and white nd took out the real image and see if it looked the same and it did.

I liked doing this activity because I used my creativity and it links to my culture.

Emoji Story

Today I completed  literacy task called the emoji Story.

I had to find a story and retell it but with emojis, and people have to guess what story it is.

First I found a story to retell in emojis.

Then I found emojis tell the story I found.

Lastly I put all the emojis in order so it make sense.

I liked doing this task because I used my creativity skils.

I read a fiction book called Fun at the Maria. I read the hole book.

If you dont know what its about its about the children went to the marae. They learnt how to use the pois, they learnt how to play a stick game, they learnt how to do the haka, they learnt how to play a string game, knuckle bones, spinning top, and after that they all taught there family members.

Problem Solving

 Today I used place value to figure out math equations. First we highlighted the key words. The question was Sally takes her six other team members to lunch. Each person orders the $14 lunch special. Sally paid the bill. How much did she pay?

First we figured out the math eaquation. For Example: 14 x 6 = ??

second we started with the ten. For Example: 10 x 6 = 60

Then the ones. For Example: 4 x 6 = 24

Lastly we added both of our aswers together. For Example: 60 + 20 + 4 = 84 Sally paid 84 dollars for there lunch.

I like doing this because it helps me figure out math equations very fast.

Today I completed a basic facts boxes challenge addition and subtraction up to 20.

I completed the challenge in 10 minutes and 54 seconds. For addition I got 100/100 For subtraction I got 100/100

I need to do basic facts more often so that I dont take to long doing it.

Maori Questions

I completed a question activity.

First I wrote in the questions For Example: Kei hea te pene?

Then I wrote my answer For Example: Ke runga i te puka puka.

 Lastly I took some images of the materials needed and pasted it onto my google slide.

Art

I created a special pattern for Tongans.

First I asked my dad if he had any special patterns. He showed me his arm ad he had alot of tatoos but I picked the flower pattern.

Next I took a picture of the flower pattern and traced it on a google draw.

I enjoyed this activity because I used my creativitiy skills to create cool art.

Today I read a book called The tree hut treaty. I read the whole book.

If you dont know what the tree hut treaty book is about it is about Tias neighbors son was fighting with Tia over a tree hut and they made a deal that the treehut will be Tias and Manaias tree hut but jack and his sister is aloud to play in it. They made rules for the tree hut.

I like doing this activity because it makes me read and I learn what some words mean.

Wensdays workout.

Today I did wensday workout. The workouts were high knees, burpees and mountain climber.

The first wor out I did was high knees. High knees are when I run on the spot but not to fast and lift my leg up to hit my hand. If you like you could hold your hand out like I did above your hip and make your knees touch your hand.

T.The last work out I did was Burpees. Burpess are when you jump and pretend to do a push up and stand up and jump doing it over and over again.

These workouts were hard because my feet eep slipping because I was on a soft and smooth mat.

I completed the challenge in 6 minutes and 25 seconds and I got 99/100.

Next time I do basic facts bpxes again I am going to try do addition and subtraction and get 100/100

 I read a fiction book called The Tree Hut.

I read 6 pages. The main charecters are Tia, Crystal, Jack and Manaia.

If you dont know what this book is about. It is about Tia and Manaia has knew neighbers and the neighbers ask Tia and Manaia to make a tree hut in there tree and then Tia and Jack start fighting over the tree hut and then there sisters decide to mae even rules for the tree hut.

I like doing this activity because it makes me read and some books are very intresting.

Proplem Solving

We used place value to vigure out math proplrems. 

Firsy we have to fiure out the math eaquation and highlight the key words.. The proplem was Paul has 92 marbles stored in 3 bags. If he gives 37 marbles to his 2 siblings, how many marbles will he have left.

I started with the ones. 2 - 7 = Not Possible. 12 - 7 = 5

Next the tens 80 - 30 = 50

And the last step is combining our two answers 50 + 5 = 55 Paul has 55 marbles left.

I like doing this because it helps me figure outmath equations very fast.  

Steps Web

 Today I did a can do called steps web it helps people write sentences and the meaning of words.

The first activity I did was sentence builder. Sentence builder is when theres a bunch of words spread out and I have to put the words in the boxes under the words and make a sentence.

The second activity I did was word flash. Word flash is when there is some words in a line and theres a word that pops up really fast and then goes away and I have to click on the right word.

I like doing this because it helps me now the meaning of words and I get better and better at writting sentences.
